Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty with Dermal Filler

Nose filler, also known as non-surgical rhinoplasty or liquid rhinoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure used to make subtle changes to the shape and structure of the nose using dermal fillers. It is a non-invasive alternative to traditional surgical rhinoplasty and can be an effective option for individuals seeking minor enhancements to their nasal appearance.

What can we do with nose filler

Asymmetry

Using a soft filler we can address minor bumps, asymmetry, or irregularities of the nose. This can also be done after a surgical rhinoplasty with consultation from your plastic surgeon.

Structure and definition

Dermal filler can be precisely injected to sculpt and contour the nose, creating a more defined shape. This can be beneficial for individuals seeking sharper angles or more pronounced features in their nasal appearance.

We can also increase the projection of the tip of the nose and create a more defined nasal tip.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT IS NOSE FILLER?

Nose filler refers to dermal filler that is placed on precise areas of the nose to make aesthetic changes. The dermal filler commonly used for non-surgical rhinoplasty is typically a hyaluronic acid-based filler.

DOES NOSE FILLER HURT?

A topical numbing cream may be applied to the area to help reduce sensitivity. Most dermal fillers contain a local anaesthetic, which helps to numb the area and minimise pain during the injection. Most patients however report minor discomfort during the procedure, such as a slight pinch or pressure sensation. If you are concerned about pain, discussing it with your injector can help address any specific concerns and support your comfort levels during the treatment.

HOW MUCH FILLER WILL I NEED?

On average 1-2mL of filler is used during a non-surgical rhinoplasty, but it will depend on your personal needs and the characteristics of your nose. This will be discussed in detail during a consultation when we create your personalised treatment plan.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

The duration of nose filler results can vary from person to person and depends on several factors. On average, nose fillers typically last between six to 12 months before the effects gradually diminish. Factors that affect the duration of the filler include the type of filler used, your metabolism of the filler and lifestyle factors

CAN IT BE REVERSED?

Yes, in some cases, if a patient is not satisfied with their nose filler treatment results or there is a complication, the filler can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This allows for the modification or reversal of the treatment.

DOES IT MAKE MY NOSE SMALLER?

Nose filler is strategically injected to create the illusion of a smaller nose by balancing proportions and addressing specific concerns. However, they cannot permanently reduce the actual size of the nose as it is additive in nature. For reduction in the actual size of the nose, a surgical rhinoplasty procedure is required.
